SmartSoil

The solution to reducing green house gas emissions from agricultural soil

  • Approximately 10% of greenhouse gas emissions globally come from crop and livestock production, *excluding emissions from the use of fossil fuels or from fertilizer production.
  • Food security relies on nitrogen fertilizers, but its production and use account for approximately 5% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
  • Meeting climate change targets requires the identification and prioritization of interventions across the whole life cycle of agricultural fertilizers.
  • Our mission is to reduce global Green House gas emissions (GHG) emissions from farming and agriculture by as much as 93%.

Introducing Indigenous microorganisms

Indigenous microorganisms (Microalgae) are a group of innate microbial consortium that inhabit the soil and the surfaces of all living things which have the potential to improve soil fertility as well aid in the production of all plant growth.

These microalgae contain certain metabolites which stimulate the natural microbial activity in the soil. The increase in beneficial microorganisms leads to improved soil quality and better nutrient uptake by the plant. We employ these metabolites forming the genesis of our SmartSoil bio growth catalyst.

After several years of independent research and field trials with commercial farmers, SmartSoil has finally arrived on the market.

We are on a mission to disrupt at least 1% of the global fertilizer marketplace, increasing crop yields and reducing Green House Gas (GHG) emissions from the previously over fertilized soil.

Smart Soil is a certified Organic soil amendment, Naturally good for the soil, Organically good for the food and Holistically good for our climate.

Estimated global greenhouse gas emissions from nitrogen fertilizer

The greenhouse gases from the lifecycle of fertilizer consist of emissions from fertilizer production, transportation and use. The leading amount of emissions come from the soil, making up nearly two-thirds of the total. Production makes up about a third.
